Peugeot 2008 DP steels

The exterior skin is made from bake hardened (dual phase) steel at 180 MPa yield strength after painting on the production line. Similar materials are also shown here is blue tint – grey tint shows mild steel panels. © Peugeot S.A.


Peugeot 2008 higher strength steels

Peugeot 2008 hot formed steels

Peugeot 2008 pedestrian safety load paths

The front end crash structure has a primary load path through the bumper beam (1) and into the front chassis rails (2). The low speed crush can elements are integrated into the back face of the bumper beam.
